Lowlands Away/The Nightingale. A poignant Scottish song flows into the “The Nightingale,” from Fillmore Peter “Pete” Provance, 1880-1971, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, 1943. Professor Bayard said that songs about seafaring are rare in Pennsylvania.
